Title : Samuel Knight's Day Book

Description : Apparently a mason. Entry for Sept. 9, 1850 reads: "Went to Lovell in evening Tuesday to begin a brick meetinghouse... Bridgton, Oct. 24, 1850, "began to build a brick house at Bridgton for Samnuel Andrews." This suggests the book's owner was Samuel Knight, son of Stephen, commonly called "Mason Sam" from his occupation. (Spurr, p. 458)
